Sriven has more than 20 years experience in management education, leadership development, training, leading group inquiry (i.e. into mindfulness practice) and facilitation across 3 continents. He is currently also Executive-in-Residence at IMD, the Swiss B-school often ranked #1 for Executive Education by The Financial Times).
Sriven previously led a team of Coach Developers at Singapore Sport Institute who partner expert High Performance coaches from various sports to reflect on their coaching practice (for their continuing professional development). In particular, Sriven is Consultant/Advisor to Benber Yu, Head Coach of Team Cicada Trackers, who has consistently produced champion hurdlers, jumpers and sprinters over the past 10 years (including Singapore’s 60m and 100m record holder, Marc Brian Louis). (Sriven still competes in Masters Athletics (age 50-54 category) in the 200m and 400m sprints.)
Sriven has also trained Mindfulness facilitators for Singapore Management University. In 2023, he developed a “Mind-Training for High Performance” programme for the Infijoy platform, that artfully integrates the practical wisdom of Stoic philosophy, Himalayan mind-training practices, and positive psychology.
He was previously an executive development consultant for CapitaLand’s Catapult executive learning centre, and Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts – designing and facilitating Talent and Leadership Development programs that emphasize Learning Agility and Organizational Resilience. He was also a Global Ambassador for the Royal Society for the Arts (UK) from 2019-2023. He is an experienced facilitator and executive coach currently engaging 24 of the top executives in an Indonesian State-owned company pursuing transformation.
Sriven’s varied cross-sector career has included roles as:
- Director of Strategy, Singapore Management University,
- Deputy Director of Higher Education Policy, MOE Singapore,
- General Manager of a start-up in the creative industries, and
- Intellectual Property and Corporate Banking Lawyer
While at SMU, he also co-designed and directed a project-based multidisciplinary Executive Masters in Tri-Sector Collaboration centred on sustainability & collaborative leadership (featured in ‘Developing Collaborative Leaders’ by the European Foundation for Management Development). Sriven has delivered highly-rated custom programs in the UK, US, India and across ASEAN, for academic institutions (incl. University College London, the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, and INSEAD) and for private and public sector organizations (incl. VISA, AIA, Alliance Bernstein, Air Selangor, Bank of Singapore, and the Monetary Authority of Singapore)
